The team behind this site

Ke He, MD

Ke He, MD (何锞)

Deputy Director & Head of Skin & Laser Aesthetics · Lead Physician of This Site · Attending Physician, Licensed Aesthetic Attending

Laser & energy-device treatment · skin rejuvenation · pigment, vascular and scar care

Dr. Ke He is Deputy Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital and head of its skin and laser aesthetic service — and she is the lead physician of this site. A core specialist formerly at the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department of Xinqiao Hospital, affiliated with Army Medical University, she has worked on the clinical front line in skin laser and injectable aesthetics for more than 20 years, serving over ten thousand patients.

Her laser practice covers pigment conditions — freckles, sun spots, age spots, melasma-type pigment, and post-inflammatory pigment — vascular concerns such as persistent redness and visible vessels, skin rejuvenation for tone and texture, fractional resurfacing, acne scarring, and non-surgical tightening. She works across device classes rather than with a single machine, and she plans treatment in stages, judging progress against standardised photographs rather than memory.

The skin and laser aesthetic service at the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center: device classes are chosen to match the condition, and progress is judged against standardised photographs rather than memory.

Clinical focus

  • Device-class matching: intense pulsed light, Q-switched and picosecond pigment lasers, fractional ablative and non-ablative resurfacing, radiofrequency including fractional radiofrequency microneedling, and microfocused ultrasound
  • Pigment conditions: freckles, sun spots, age spots, melasma-type pigment, and post-inflammatory pigment
  • Vascular concerns: persistent redness, visible vessels, and rosacea-related redness
  • Acne and acne scarring, including a combination of resurfacing and focused techniques
  • Full-cycle skin management: barrier repair, skincare sequencing, and device sequencing
  • Skin-type and candidacy assessment, including laser safety in darker skin

Academic roles & achievements

  • Member, Laser Medicine Group, Chinese Medical Association Plastic Surgery Branch
  • Member, Facial Rejuvenation Group, Chinese Medical Association Plastic Surgery Branch
  • Member, Chongqing Plastic Surgery Quality Control Center
  • Published 5 papers, holds 5 national patents, and introduced 2 new clinical techniques

Diagnosis before device

A brown patch is not one condition but several, and the wrong laser at the wrong setting can make melasma-type pigment permanently worse. Confirming what the pigment or the redness actually is comes before choosing how to treat it — and before choosing which device class to treat it with.

Shaoliang Wang, MD

Shaoliang Wang, MD (王韶亮)

Director, Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center · Chongqing West District Hospital

Plastic surgery · center leadership · surgical backstop

Dr. Shaoliang Wang is Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital. Within the team he provides the surgical perspective: the judgement of when a concern is better served by an operation than by a device, and the tertiary-hospital surgical backstop behind the center’s aesthetic work.

Role within the team

  • Center leadership and multidisciplinary case review
  • Surgical assessment where an operation is the honest answer to laxity or scarring
  • Hospital-based support for the rare laser complication that needs theatre-level care

A hospital-based advantage

When a complication needs theatre-level care, the operating room, anaesthesiology, and intensive care are already in the same building. Practising inside a tertiary general hospital means that backstop is real, not theoretical.

Tongchun Mao, MD

Tongchun Mao, MD (毛彤春)

Aesthetic Surgery · Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center, Chongqing West District Hospital

Aesthetic surgery · refinement · natural results

Dr. Tongchun Mao is an aesthetic surgeon within the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital. Within the team his role is refinement and judgement: knowing when a laser or energy-device plan will not achieve what surgery can, and keeping aesthetic results natural.

Role within the team

  • Aesthetic surgical assessment and refinement
  • Honest referral when surgery outperforms non-surgical treatment
  • Shared case planning within the four-physician team

The right tool for the problem

Some concerns are device problems and some are surgical problems. A team that practises both under one roof has no reason to sell you the wrong one — and no reason to keep selling laser sessions for a problem a laser cannot reach.

Yongbo Jia, MD

Yongbo Jia, MD (贾勇波)

Dermatology · Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center, Chongqing West District Hospital

Dermatology · skin health · pigment care

Dr. Yongbo Jia is a dermatologist within the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital. Within the team his role is the skin itself: medical assessment of skin health before treatment, management of pigment and barrier problems, and dermatologic care of the skin that laser results depend on.

Role within the team

  • Medical skin assessment behind laser treatment plans
  • Pigment diagnosis and management, including melasma-type conditions
  • Dermatologic care of skin after laser complications

Diagnosis first

Most treatment failures in skin care trace back to a missed diagnosis or an abandoned routine. Getting the diagnosis right, then staying with the plan, is what quietly produces results — and it is what stops a laser being used on a lesion that should have been examined instead.
